About Shallon

I became a therapist because I genuinely love helping people understand themselves more deeply, heal from what has hurt them, and create lives that feel more connected, confident, and meaningful. I believe powerful change can happen when we have a safe, nonjudgmental space to slow down, feel understood, and explore who we are and who we want to become.

Horses were part of what first led me to this work. My grandfather gave me a horse named Happy when I was young, and we grew up together. Through my relationship with her—and later through volunteering and working at a therapeutic equestrian center in college—I saw how connection, trust, and new experiences could help people grow. That realization inspired me to pursue a career in counseling.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Colorado Christian University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. I am also certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning and a Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Additionally, I have completed training in EMDR for working with individuals who have experienced trauma.

Whether we meet virtually or work together with the horses at the ranch, my goal is the same: to provide a supportive space where you can explore what matters most, reconnect with yourself, and create meaningful change. I want to help you develop the insight, practical tools, and confidence needed to heal internally and move toward greater fulfillment in your relationships, goals, and everyday life.
